Kichwa
Kichwa Kichwa is the official language of the indigenous people of the province of Imbabura. Ninety percent of this indigenous group speak Kichwa. Nowadays, local indigenous groups are trying to recover and revive their language by teaching it to all local indigenous people. Learning Kichwa is not difficult – like learning any other language, it is simply a question of learning basic vocabulary, verbs, and idioms, reinforcing them through conversation. There are three time tenses in Kichwa: past, present, and future. The Institute offers one-on-one and group classes (up to four students in a group) in Kichwa. Moreover, our time tested method is based in practicing your newly acquired language skills in daily situations.
