Lakes Of Mojanda

We depart from Otavalo at 08h00 for this incredible adventure. We will drive up to the peaceful and remote lakes of Mojanda, located at 3,800 meters. There are three lakes, one is a black mysterious color. There are situated among rolling hills of Paramo, which is a type of long, yellow grass. The biggest lake is named Caricocha (Man lake), the others are Yanacocha (Black lake) and Huarmicocha (Woman lake). If one wants to, there is the opportunity to climb Fuya Fuya Mountain (4,250m) which overlooks the two lakes and the surrounding communities and scenery.
